Carbide Button Bits for Rock Drilling

Button bits use rounded carbide inserts arranged across a domed or flat face, providing better performance in hard, abrasive rock with longer service life. Cross bits use a chisel-shaped carbide cross pattern, better suited to softer, less abrasive formations. Button bits generally offer more even wear and higher penetration rates in hard rock applications.

Carbide button bits are available from 2" to 18" (50.8 mm to 457.2 mm) depending on the shank and hammer model, covering configurations such as Domintor 100, MACH 20, COP32, DHD 340, QL40, TD40, and SD5, among others, to match a wide range of DTH hammer systems.

Bits are available in Standard, Diamond, and Bluemaxx carbide grades, paired with Concave, Convex, Flat, or Double Gauge face shapes, and Domed, Ballistic, or Semi-Ballistic button shapes. This range allows selection tailored to formation hardness, abrasiveness, and specific penetration requirements.
