Manufacturing begins with CNC machining of the steel bit body, followed by precision placement and brazing of PDC cutters into engineered pockets. Blade configurations (typically 5 or 6 blades), hydraulic profiles, and connection threads such as API REG are designed based on the intended formation before final quality inspection and testing.

PDC bits use fixed polycrystalline diamond compact cutters that shear through rock via rotary motion, making them ideal for soft to medium formations. DTH (Down-The-Hole) hammer bits use tungsten carbide buttons and percussive impact energy delivered by a pneumatic hammer, making them better suited for hard, abrasive rock formations.
